i went into this store and wanted some advice on a certain item that was out of stock. i was the only customer in this department and i could see about 5 workers around me just hanging out, i actually was able to hear one of the workers conversation which was talking about his new car and how he wanted to put new rims and a bigger muffler. about 25 minutes passed and i was still standing next to the product. " NO ONE APPROACHED ME! to ask if i needed help i left the store and the guy at the door told me to have a good day... yeah sure.... i got home and i decided to call this store's # to ask about the item i needed help for. after the operator i had 3 people in front of me, waited about 15 minutes and the phone starts ringing. FINALLY They are going to answer right...... as soon as they picked up the phone, they hanged up immediately, and they transferred my call to the Compton Store Location, I waited about 30 seconds before i was answered by the nicest worker ever and he began with "Hello my name is @#$%, welcome to the Compton Bestbuy(that is how i know i was transferred) and then i was helped.Do not go to Hawthorn, They DO Not Care

Bad Practices

I was extremely disappointed today when trying to make a return to best buy. A week ago, I replaced my old DELL Laptop with a new one, bought at Best Buy. The clerk assisting me was more than helpful, courteous and friendly. Over the last week, I noticed while using the new laptop, I could not keep in on my lap because it was generating so much heat. Having had DELL's for more than the past 10 years, I did not think this was normal. When I brought it back to the store to return, I was told I could return the laptop, but, they could not refund me the $99 set up fee. I found this pretty irritating, since I was only returning the laptop because it seemed to have something wrong with it to begin with. After speaking to a manager who offered to have the laptop assessed, and, after it was assessed to be 'running a little hot, but, that's normal and you should not put your laptop on your lap' - still believing something was not right about this computer, I returned it, but, am out $99, for no reason I can understand, other than believing this is how Best Buy makes their money. I have never not been able to use a laptop in my lap, much less a brand new one. I have never needed a 'cooling pad' before. This laptop ran so hot, I did not even want to leave it on my wooden kitchen table. I am really annoyed, very disappointed, and left the store today without purchasing another computer, because I think I will take my business somewhere else. I think it is wrong that that laptop will be put back on the shelf, and that Best Buy will sell it, and charge another $99 setup fee to someone else, despite the fact that it's already set up. Something is not right about that.

really bad customer service

There's an associate at the mobile department that needs to be trained on customer service, I was there on December 14th to returned a phone that had just purchase on the 11th, but was treated so bad and was told by the so call supervisor to go back to the Long Beach store cause that's where I had purchase the phone, after being in the store for almost 2 hours a different clerk was very helpful and returned the phone, the supervisor was not friendly at all, the manager in charge that day gave me the store's managers number so that i could call and complaint.....its been 6 days and the store manager has not returned the call........My business is now going to Best Buy in Culver City great customer service there....

12/07/2011 @ 12:10pm I was in the music department being helped by an employee looking for a product online for me and then all of a sudden this RUDE couple came up and asked her a question and she completely stopped helping me and started to help the RUDE couple. The employee never stated to the RUDE couple that she would be right with them AFTER she completes my transaction but she decided to help the RUDE people instead. She left me standing there looking like a fool, So I complained to the manager of that department which was a waste of time. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST. THEY HAVE THE WORSE SERVICE. NO KNOWLEDGEABLE EMPLOYEESS TO HELP YOU.

Worst Customer Service (Even for Best Buy)

On 11/15/11, waited 20-25 minutes to buy the Kindle Fire before I was acknowledged. Several employees were coming/going through the dept., but all appeared to have somewhere else to go. I saw two people ahead of me leave. The employees seem to be congregating around the TV displays to right of entrance, not doing much of anything. Worst experience I've every had at Best Buy, will not go to that store again.

I shop at this store a lot, and have invested quite a bit of money at this location, Samsung Led 57', 3 XBox's, many games, and even a 27' new Apple computer etc... i am a Rewardzone Premier Silver customer. Every time i go to this store there is a lack of customer service. there are not enough people working there and no floor manager to control the department. Today Nov 13, 2011 i went to this Best buy to upgrade my iPhone. I waited 10min to get acknowledged. It took me 5min to explain that I wanted to upgrade my phone and fill out paperwork. They had the iPhone i wanted in stock, and advised me that I was next in line. I then waited 40 minutes, without being helped, before i decided to leave. I understand that at times it is busy, but if what I have is needed, and my transaction is as simple as it was, there was no need for me to wait as long as I did. The lack of customer service i have experienced, one to many times, is the reason I felt compelled to write and give such negative feedback.

i went in to buy a laptop and had a specific one in mind to buy... I asked a female representative to ring up the total and they took my laptop to the back. The laptop came back looking like it was opened. I asked the girl if they had opened the package and she said they had to remove some program from my laptop because it was not the model that I wanted to buy... IS SHE INSANE? what is she saying not the model I want to buy?! I told the girl if the package is opened than I will not take it and she was extremely rude about it.overall the worst experience I ever had at any Best Buys locations. Go to the one in Torrance and you will see the difference.
