Best Buy Grove City

Please do NOT take any device to this location to have repaired. I took my iphone to this location for a repair, and it took a little over an hour to run diagnostics and get my phone checked in. Before I left, I was told that the repair should take 2-3 days, and they asked for an alternate way to contact me since they were keeping my phone. I provided an email address and a number I could receive texts at. I received a confirmation text at the number before I left the store and confirmed with the employee that I received the text. Three days later, I had not heard anything about my phone, so I called customer service. Customer service directed me to the store. I went to the store, and they told me that, once they got my phone in the back, they realized they were unable to complete the repair and that they normally wouldn't have even accepted the phone for this type of repair. I asked why no one had ever contacted me, and they said they called and left a voicemail right after I left the store the day I dropped it off....on the phone they had in their possession. They then confirmed that yes they only tried to contact me that one time on the phone that was in their possession and that the notes did say I could not be reached by that number. They were also unable to refund me the service fee I paid for apple care, because I did not have the credit card I used to pay with me at the time. I was told the only way to get my money back would be to return to the store again with the right card, and they proceeded to suggest I "try to come back on a different day and at a different time so I might be able to get a different employee who would know how to do stuff." I left the store without a working phone, a refund, or an apology.

Best Buy is still one of my favorite stores. It looks different without all the movies and music sections. But this is the world we live in now.
