How does this location, or Best Buy overall, have a 4.1 star rating?? All I wanted to do was have the battery in my 9th generation Ipad replaced. I made the appointment thru Apple and received a confirmation. I had two basic questions: 1) is $90 the accurate price 2) how long will I have to leave it there? Overnight, 2 hours, etc.
The automated choice/ selection you get when you first call the Lancaster store, is RIDICULOUS!! I wanted to speak to someone on the Geek Squad at LANCASTER. Of course, some guy I could barely understand was 'answering my questions'. I said ' even though you have to charge the $90 fee Apple quoted online, will it be more than that?" He became exasperated/ rude with me and said it will say that on the confirmation. Nope, it doesn't. He became more agitated when I told him that. In a raised voice, he said 'then you just have to bring it in for a quote!". Rude, so rude. I don't want to waste good time on my vacation not knowing if they are going to gouge me or not on an Ipad 9th Generation that is in excellent shape. I now have a feeling they will. I canceled the appointment and will avoid this outfit at all costs. Frustrating, useless and can't speak directly with a local location. SMH.
