visited the store recently and had one of the worst customer service experiences i’ve ever had. i came in ready to spend serious money — buying two ipads and a mount — and still got treated like my business didn’t matter. i specifically asked for one ipad to be on one receipt, and the other ipad + mount to be on the second. eric ignored my request, rang everything up as three separate transactions, and didn’t even tear the receipt tape between them — leaving me with a ridiculously long, cvs-style receipt. eric also knew i needed the mount but, when i asked about a case (since they didn’t have the model in black), he showed me cases that weren’t even compatible with mounts. when i pointed this out, he said, “oh those cases are only sold at apple.” that’s when i asked for a refund due to their incompetence in both product knowledge and basic register use. instead of helping, edgar — who claimed to be the gm — got involved, escalated the situation, and even said, “no one cares about your $1,000 transaction.” vlad came in and made accusations instead of assisting. jonathan from geek squad initially agreed to reprint two receipts that had red markings from the register tape running out. but after i had previously called him out for dismissive behavior, he made a sly remark saying, “what difference does it make?” and refused to reprint them. i then asked jonathan for veronica’s title and edgar’s business cards, but he refused to provide any information. rather than resolving the issue, he escalated things further and told me to leave the store. the only person who acted professionally was angel — he actually tried to help and should honestly be the manager or gm. this place made it clear they don’t care about customers or how much money you spend. don’t come here — they don’t care about you, and they don’t care about any money you spend.

If you own Best Buy stock, may be time to sell. In one day I was forced to go to three stores because ALL three had computer problems which wrecked my day and cost me $210. Bought and paid for a Macbook Air M4 online with a trade in rebate. Went to store pick up, was made wait 90 minutes because system was down. Finally got my laptop but they couldn't take the trade in - told me I could drop it to another branch within 10 days. Called Montebello, CA store next day - they sent me to Glendale. Got there to find they couldn't process trade-in because some fingerprint scanner was down. They sent me to Burbank (and gave me the wrong address). Burbank wouldn't take it because they said the original store that sold me the new laptop had cancelled the trade in. To add insult to injury the very nasty young man at the Burbank store told me to get lost basically. Kid's gonna get fired a lot in life. Hopefully soon. Never seen such company-wide incompetence, in person and whoever's failing them on back-end computer systems. Drove 40 miles to get insulted and stuck with trade-in and no rebate. Shoulda gone to Apple.
