BEWARE OF BEST BUY
The sheer level of incompetence and lack of empathy I witnessed at this store today was mind-blowing.
I came in to return a marketplace item I had unwittingly purchased online.
Yes, BEST BUY SELLS GRAY MARKET ITEMS NOW! With shortened return policies and no access to warranties or protections from Best Buy OR manufacturers!!
The lady helping me questioned me like a cop as I’m trying to return the completely unopened camera to a phony company called 6ave. They told me my refund was up to the company, not them. And they are notorious for scamming customers. Lucky me!
Next to me, a woman was nearly in tears, because on their website she was ensured an extended holiday return policy. But no! She was also lured into using marketplace! So the item was unreturnable.
The workers at this store denied her a return and spoke down to her like she was dumb. I imagine they deal with this issue every day and are trained on how to deal with it. Apparently that training implores the employee to gaslight and belittle an unwitting customer. A LOYAL customer. We both have accounts there and still aren’t safe buying from Best Buy.
When asked “if I can’t return it why does it say I can on the website?” The manager replied, “I’m not sure why it says that, but it’s not returnable.” IS THIS A JOKE?
When you think of Best Buy, you usually think of reliability. Unfortunately now their ethos is - manipulate consumers so we can stay afloat. And that’s all they care about.

Mike is the hero of bestbuy! had taken my PC to Micro Center once for a failed repair and then to Best Buy four separate times, but the issue kept coming back. Mike was the one who finally took the time to properly diagnose the problem and determine that the SSD was the root cause. Once that was addressed, my PC worked exactly as it should. On top of being knowledgeable and professional, Mike was genuinely pleasant to work with. Because of Mike, I finally have a working system and peace of mind.
Give my bro Riley a raise. 10/10 customer service. Goat
Best Buy where are you. Had a service appointment 1-13-26 called tech was not available. Rescheduled for yesterday. Never showed I waited all day. When I called they rescheduled for Feb 3. I asked to speak to someone from the Burbank I was told I’d get a call from the Burbank store today. Never received one.
I never received an explanation as to why the never showed yesterday or an apology. Terrible customer service
