The Geek Squad or should i say the third party contractors are atrocious! We struggled through them with our new appliances,. We purchased a 55 inch TV over a week ago. Due to the size and that it was free, we chose to let BB deliver and install. A week later we are sitting here 3 hours past the latest delivery window time. We receieved no calls or emails telling us the status. App tracking was not working either. We don't know when we will receive it. Don't believe the Geek squad hype. I should have just picked it up myself and save the stress and the wasted time.
Went to Gainesville store first. They sent me here because they had no inventory. Came to the cumming store. Waited 25 minutes for someone to help me. Finally I selected a product the had displayed. Guess what. No inventory of it. They said Mall of GA store has 5 and I could drive there. So that would be my 3rd Best Buy store in a day. They said they could deliver it, but that won’t be for several days and of course I will not be in town, I would be headed off for vacation. So they have no displays and their inventory is out and wonder they are still in business. Oh and they charge a 15 restock fee when Costco and Amazon don’t This place use to be my source for electronics. Now it is a joke.
10/10 recommend! They really know their stuff, and their ability to go above and beyond to ensure you get what you need and that it works perfectly is unsurpassed. We got a sound bar and sub woofer system, and they answered every single question we had, made sure we were totally satisfied with our purchase, and offered help if we had any issues setting it up. Can't say enough good things!
I stopped by Best Buy to ask about buying Pokémon cards and was told there’s a five-pack limit—which I totally understand is likely to prevent scalpers and make things fair for everyone. I wasn’t arguing the limit, I just asked what the time frame was (per day, per visit, etc.). The associate couldn’t give me a clear answer and kept going in circles, eventually just saying “I don’t know.” It would be helpful if staff were better trained on simple policy questions like this so customers aren’t left confused.
