I have used the phone number on the website to call the store and the phone just rings for minutes. I have done this 2 times. No one answers the phone! How can a store expect to provide any customer service if they do not answer the phone!!!

Consistently poor service over last 7 years. I've been shopping there for various computer and electronics over the years. Service reps consistently ignore me or are completely clueless. T.V.s, for instance, get with the game. You're an electronics store. Someone should be able to answer questions about LED T.V.s. for crying out loud. I returned something last week and, even though there were 6-10 people behind the desk, no one acknowledged me. After waiting patiently for 15 mins, I finally had to say something. I'm a CUSTOMER. How hard is it to say... I'll be with you in a moment. I work in service. I know you get busy, BUT I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN LINE. No one ever acknowledge I was even there. I could go on. Bottom line, I'll just shop online. Tired of the service.

The customer service and employee knowledge can definitely be lacking on past experiences and purchases that I have made. I am currently in the midst of a 3 hour waste of time trying to resolve a purchase that I made where I was not provided important information from the start.

I absolutely love this store and it's employees. Each and every time I go in I receive superb customer service. Yes, sometimes I do have to wait. But after working in retail for many years in my youth... I understand and am patient. The reviews for this store are ridiculous. I feel like most people do not give Best Buy enough of a chance. I call the store often and the ladies that answer the phone are always extremely helpful and know the products well. Sometimes it takes a while for someone to answer but last time I called and asked the operator she told me they were having problems with their new phone system and that if I do not reach a menu right away to hang up and try again. The phone should not keep ringing without a menu/person answering. Tip for the future: try to have some empathy and do not listen to the past reviews.

Worst Store Experience EVER!!!!!

My boyfriend and I are so dissatisfied with the help and management at this location, we will tell all of our friends and family members not to shop at this location for any electronics. But instead shop at the Best Buy across from South Point in Durham. Today my boyfriend went to buy a Samsung 55 inch, HD, 3D flat screen TV from Best Buy in Cary at Crossroads. He was really excited about this purchase because he had done his research and found the same TV online at a cheaper price than the display price in the store. My boyfriend is an electronic geek and is very knowledgeable about Best Buy’s products and polices. So, he is aware that Best Buy will honor the lower price found online for the same product found in the store. Anyway, apparently the sales rep and the store manager were not aware of this policy. If they were, they acted as if they were not and refused to even research the accuracy of the price online. My boyfriend became annoyed and upset of the ignorance displayed by both parties that he decided to take his business to another Best Buy store. Good thing for him that he did because the sales rep in the Durham store was very knowledgeable of the policy. He took the time to research the price and was able to confirm that my boyfriend was right and that he could pay the lower price for the TV. Whatever happened to going above and beyond to assist the customer, unsure what the young man’s name was at this location but he definitely deserves some recognition….

Incapable of Answering Phone

I've been on hold for 30 minutes now without yet speaking to a single live person. This store's ability to completely ignore their customers is astonishing. In all the retail jobs I worked when I was a kid, leaving a phone ringing for 30 minutes would result in the immediate disciplining of the people on register and customer service duties.I will be speaking with the manager once I've completed my business with this store, assuming that I am ever actually able to communicate with them.Disgraceful.

Walked in to check out some TVs. Asked a guy about it... he said he didn't know cuz he doesn't work in that area. So got another guy who worked that area. Asked him about TV on sales and he replies "price is marked on all TVs" with attitude. Granted I understand that the didn't know I was silver premium customer for several years now! (Not sure if that would have mattered anyways!) I was really hoping that he would actually ask questions about what I was interested in and then work with me to see if they had any products that would match with a price range. But that would have been too much of a common sense for this. In fact, I ended up telling him that there was a special sell on the open box Item. How could he have not known about if he worked that area with a big #$#$!@ sign posted right over the TV!!!! He had to call it in and verified. I asked about whether the TV was 3D, he had to ask that one too someone else.. I asked whether the 3d tv came with glasses, another call to someone! Then I asked what kind of 3d glass would it take and how much were they and yet another call to someone to figure that one out! LMAO. My wife and I were just loving this act!! So just for the fun of it.. we asked to see if we can talk to manager... and response "he can't do anything for you". I was really surprised, why?? cuz he didn't call his manager to see if he was okay to meet with customer.. he was "confident" enough this time that his manager wasn't going to do anything! BRAVO... BRAVO !! He effectively screwed his reputation, his manager's reputation and the entire store's reputation. But hey.... He was able to finally able to answer a question (whether right or wrong) by his own ability! Hehehe

A portion of the staff understands how to service customers. The remainder doesn't. The Geek squad in general is arrogant. I was very disappointed in their smug attitude. Its as if they are doing you a favor by simply letting them talk to you.

Terrible Customer Service

I went in 15 min before closing time looking for 3D glasses for my Samsung TV. I stood back in the Home Theater section next to the glasses for 10 min waiting for someone to stop and provide assistance (3 associates walked by, no one stopped). Finally I went up to the home theater desk and stood next to 4 BB employees while they stood there and chatted about the hurricane. I even had eye contact with 2 of them but they never asked if I needed any help. I finally went back to the 3D glasses and looked up the info for myself using my phone. Ultimately this BB didn't have the glasses I was looking for in stock. It took me 20 minutes to find out something that, had someone actually provided customer service, would have only taken me 5 minutes. I will NOT be going back unless I already know what I'm looking for. So much for the "Premier Silver" status bonuses.I know the employees are tired and want to go home, but until all of your customers are gone, YOU ARE STILL WORKING!!!! I work in IT and if I ever treated a customer like I was treated today my manager would be FURIOUS!

Policy problem

The product, IMAX 3D Legends of Flight, was excellent. The service at the Cary, NC store left a lot to be desired.. The product was marked $15. I paid cash at the register and afterwards found that I was charged $20. I was told to get the $5 excess from customer security. The clerk there & afterwards, the manager, told me I needed to have my driver licence number or passport number entered into their computer. In view of hackers getting information from companies, I refused and, therefore, did not get the $5 overcharge. We are protected from having credit cards stolen but not driver licence or passport numbers that constitute identity thefts. The policy of recording driver licence numbers is not done by other stores. The policy needs to be changed!

I had a good experience when purchasing a television here. The guy was really helpful and aided me in choosing the right TV with the most features in my price range.Calling on the phone was another story. The woman I talked to was very short with me, seemed like she hated her job, and seemed like she couldn't wait to get off the phone with me. She also did nothing to solve my issue, an issue that corporate customer service said could be easily solved by calling into my local store. This was clearly not the case. There was a noted lack of "Let me see what I can do", but there was plenty of "Well that just won't happen" and "Why don't you just go online". Please read these as if they told to you by someone rather unenjoyable and incompetent.I'm not one of those people looking to write a bad review. As you can see from the top section of this, my in-store experience was excellent. They were more than helpful. What's lacking here is general telephone etiquette.

It would be extremely helpful if anyone answered the phone when you call the store. I know the representatives are helping other customers. That is nice but maybe you are understaffed if you can't answer the phone any of the 6 times I have tried to call over a two day period. I don't want to drive the extra distance to buy things from the Crabtree Valley store but I do because they answer.You can do better.
