Store manager was out so the Geek squad manager was assisting me with a return. She made it so difficult and refused to do what the customer service department promised whish was a normal refund. I had to spend another hour on hold waiting for yet another customer service rep. Since for some reason the two departments can't communicate directly themselves I had to hand my phone to this very rude manager for them to tell her to do it. Meaning I was there for 2 hours for a simple return that should have taken me 5 minutes. Will never ever go there again. If they're wanting people to shop on Amazon instead of going to their brick-and-mortar Best Buy stores they're making a good case for it with this example.

I was sexually assaulted in the men’s bathroom at this store. What happened afterward was almost as disturbing as the assault itself. I reached out to a Marketplace Director (MM607) about it. I was not asking for anything unreasonable, only for help making sure it did not happen again. Instead of showing any empathy or concern for customer safety, the Marketplace Director was cold and dismissive. I was told to contact the legal team. When I asked what that would even accomplish, I was ignored. The written response I got from Best Buy corporate was a robotic, “We have reviewed your concern and it has been briefed to our relevant team members… we aren’t allowed to share further at the store level.” Translation: they do not care what happened, they do not care about fixing it, and they certainly do not care about your safety. I then went to the store and spoke to two managers. Guess what… Neither had heard anything about it. One took my number and promised a follow-up. Naturally, I never heard back. Good job boys, you have managed to lower the bar even further on what minimum effort looks like. If you value your safety or expect a company to show even a shred of humanity when something horrific happens, stay away from Best Buy.

Terrible customer service, bought a brand new phone and tried to return it only to be notified about a restocking fee that wasn't disclosed during the purchase. Never will buy from here again.
