I had previously thought that Best Buy was among the better. “big box“ appliance stores; however, their customer service on delivery and installation of large appliances has proven to be mind-boggling bad. Two weeks ago, I purchased and paid for a new refrigerator, in person at the store, and scheduled installation and delivery. Because of the number of stairs at my house, I provided the sales rep with a picture of my house and of the street in front of it. Delivery and installation was supposed to be last Saturday. When it arrived on Saturday, the crew they had sent with it said they could not take it up the stairs without two additional crew members, and that they could not arrange for those additional crew members that day. Rather than sending the refrigerator back to the warehouse, they parked it in my garage. The earliest Best Buy customer service said they could arrange for a foreman crew was Thursday (today) at 7 AM this morning, At 7 AM this morning, I got a message from the delivery team saying they were on their way. As of 945, no one had appeared, and we had gotten no further communications. When I checked on the website, it reflected that the order had been rescheduled yet again for tomorrow. Have I not checked on the website and called, I would still be waiting for them to show up Best Buy customer service informed me that they could not arrange for installation today, could only arrange for installation tomorrow, would not let me speak to a supervisor..
