Called the Geeksquad to see if they could test my Subwoofer to see if it works. $60!!!!!!!! Just to plug it in. I guess 30 to plug in an rca cable and 30 to plug the power in to an outlet. 😂🤣 Insane!

The manager on duty at 11:00am this morning - August 17, 2025 was fantastic. I know one guy’s name was Nick, but I don’t remember the manager’s name! Their customer service was some of the best I’ve ever encountered. They were able to help me with a complex issue! They have my business! Corporate- pay attention and give those gentleman a raise!!!!

Brought a brand new PC in for BSOD problems and was told it would be about 2 days. Within 2 days I had not received any updates, so I went in person to check. The answer I was given was a shrug and “we started on it this morning (the day I was told it would be ready) but we’ve just had so much going on.” This was after trying to call the store multiple times and being rerouted to external support. I’ve had to jump through several hoops to find out today, on the fifth day, that it still hasn’t been repaired. Vaguely told (once again, by external support) they had to wait for resources to come in but they refuse to tell me what resources were needed. How do I know that a part isn’t being replaced with something sub-optimal? I’ve mentioned to them multiple times I needed the PC back by today at the latest. I’d be willing to push it back further if they’d just be so kind as to keep me in the loop regarding a $1700 purchase. Multiple notes left to contact me with updates but they still haven’t or won’t. I bought the PC on sale and have paid what I saved to have my time wasted for a week. Prices and sales are good but I cannot recommend this store’s geek squad service due to their lack of urgency and inability to communicate with paying customers. TLDR: do not rely on geek squad to repair your devices if you have a limited time frame. Take your PC to a dedicated PC repair shop. You’ll likely spend less and have a faster return. Edit: Dropped to one star for Best Buy’s reply telling me to make yet another attempt to contact them when I’ve been doing so all week.

Arrived at 2:00 p.m. today to buy several hundred dollars worth of hard drives for my company. One guy on the floor tied up with a chatty lady about a printer. Guy next to me wanted to buy a laptop, but he can't get any help either. He left. Old man and his wife wanted to buy some gear, same thing. Ended up leaving at 2:40 because I got to get back to work. I guess I'll stop by Office Depot on the way and give them my business instead. I told the guy at the very front of the situation, and he just stared at me. Can't get help here.
