I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Best Buy regarding the way the Total Tech membership was explained and sold to us. And as to how I have been mislead in purchases I have made When we purchased the membership, we were specifically told that we had 60 days to return products. I even asked that question directly because return policies are important when making larger purchases. The employee confirmed that Total Tech gave us a 60-day return window. I even asked directly before purchasing a cellular device and was told 60 days. Now we are being told that because the product involved has cellular capability, the return window is actually only 14 days. At no point during the purchase were we informed that cellular devices had a completely different and much shorter return period. Had that been clearly explained, it absolutely would have affected our purchasing decision. Being told one thing at the time of sale and then something entirely different afterward is extremely frustrating and feels misleading. Customers rely on store employees to provide accurate information when purchasing memberships like Total Tech, especially when those memberships are marketed as providing extended benefits. If Best Buy is going to sell memberships like Total Tech, employees need to be transparent about the details and exceptions in the policies. Important limitations like a 14-day cellular return policy versus the advertised 60-day return window should be clearly explained upfront, especially when asked directly, not discovered later after the purchase. That is a complete lie that I was given. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in Best Buy, and I hope the company takes steps to ensure customers receive accurate information moving forward. Because for me, I was directly lied to.

Was told head unit wasn't compatible with vehicle and wanted to upcharge me 300 more than was already purchased. Sales said they had everything needed for the install. Horrible experience waiting 2 hours for install just to put everything back.
