Have tried to contact this store location three separate times. Each time the machine says there is one person in front of me waiting. Then, it puts my call through, only to have it ring for minutes without anyone picking up. If you are going to offer a service and want people to use it, answer your phones. I will travel to the Bloomington store if I need anything, and they always answer the phone.

I visited the Terre Haute store today, and I was impressed. My wife and I called and had the sales associate hold a camcorder for us. When I came in, the salesman was finishing up getting EVERYTHING I needed to take some video tomorrow night. He gathered everything I needed including the insurance on the camera which covers it even if I drop it. That is good news since I'm the clumsy one in the family. The salesman personally showed me to customer service and the girl there rang me out and answered all of my questions about my product and financing. I say bravo to the staff! I will absolutely be a returning customer!! - 2/13/2012

Never have what you want in stock, groups of employees standing around in groups shooting the breeze instead of helping customers, no knowledge of the products by staff, and no follow up. This store has been an unpleasant experience on a regular and consistent basis. If I ever buy anything from a Best Buy store again, it will never be from this location. Atrocious!

I recently went in to the TH store to purchase a Kindle Fire. Unfortunately the store was out of them. The sales associate I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was very apologetic about not having the merchandise in stock but said the store would be getting a shipment on Tuesday. He told me to wait until Wednesday to call the store to check on the item I wanted since the truck would not be unloaded until the store closed Tuesday night. I called Wednesday and got through with no delay. The customer service girl was very polite and agreed to put a Kindle Fire on hold for me until I could reach the store.When I got there she had one on hold at customer service for me and also had some accessories for me to look through. I spent more than I thought I would, but it was explained to me how the protection plan offered on the Kindle would cover any little thing that could possibly happen to my device. The customer service girl answered every question I had and made me feel very comfortable with my purchase. I have returned to the store and had great experiences each time. I wanted to share my good experience since everyone else wants to bash the store.

HAVE TRIED TO CALL THE STORE MANY,MANY TIMES AND THE PHONE RING AND RING UNTIL IT FINALLY JUST DISCONNECTS - USUALLY ABOUT 40 TIMES. ONE TIME SOMEONE DID ANSWER AND I WAS PUT ON HOLD ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE ABOUT THE TV I WAS INTERESTED IN. ALSO WHEN VISITING THIS STORE,MOST EMPLOYEES EITHER DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE PRODUCTS OR WANT TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE FOR YOU TO TALK TO. MOST OF THE TIME YOU END UP WAITING AND WAITING FOR THAT OTHER PERSON TO SHOW. I REALLY LIKE THE STORE BUT THE SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE EMPLOYEES REALLY SUCKS. ALSO-DONT TRY TO SELL ME ALL OF THESE EXTRA ADD ONS-IF I WANT THEM-I WILL PURCHASE THEM AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH BECAUSE THE PEOPLE THERE CANT TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THEM WITHOUT READING THE BOX-WOW- I CAN DO THAT.

Ordered a dishwasher a week ago was told it would be delivered today . Was told by clerk that delivery would call before they came, now 7:30 pm no call no dishwasher. Called store at 3:00pm was told they would call and check on delivery time, no call back from them either! Not happy

I was recently in the store as my wife and I intend to purchase a 60-70" LED television. We found the staff to be very helpful and informative. We were told to call back, when we made a decision or if we had any questions. I have tried on 5 separate occasions to call, each resulting in the phone ringing over 20 times before I am simply disconnected. This is not the way to sell an expensive tv or win customer satisfaction. I'm sure we will return to the store to get our questions answered but I will express our dissatisfaction with the phone service.

At the advice of my son, I decided to purchase my camera flash at Best Buy instead of ordering it on line. I just called this store 2 times to inquire abbout price and availability. On my second call, I counted the number of rings at 17 in a minute and a half. Guess they aren't interested in my business,

went to look at tv's was there for an hour looking at them. i did not get any help i saw to employee's at the desk laughing and having fun instead of helping customer's. i was there 3 different times at different hours with a couple of weeks inbetween visits. they need mature helpful people working instead of kids in the store.

The main advantages to this store are ones that pertains to Best Buy generally - it is big, has lots of choices, and has frequent sales. The drawback to this store is employee knowledge. I have made multiple large purchases at this Best Buy in the last year and not one could be completed in a single trip. Sales associates routinely provide incorrect information on compatibility, prices, and rebates. Over several trips you will be able to find the compatible product, get a manager to honor a quoted discount (as long as you spend some x amount more), or find an equivalent rebate, but this will require much time, debate, and requests to speak to managers. Calling the store can be equally frustrating. I've experienced multiple 30+ minute wait times to ask a simple question. Were there another large electronics store with a broad selection and frequent sales I would eagerly spend my money there instead. As it is Terre Haute is stuck with this Best Buy.

Anybody that really knows electronics knows that BB is generally overpriced. I realize they have a large overhead and for this I try to always catch the item I want on sale.The staff in the Terre Haute store seem to lack thorough education on the products they are selling. They can read you the specs on the box but so can I. Some of them know what is going on and are willing to help but the vast majority could be more knowledgeable. Luckily I know enough about computers and electronics that I have never needed the sales associates help for a purchase.The product mix could be better, would also like to see bigger in store selection of computer parts such as CPUs, memory, motherboards, etc.

My recent experience at my local Best Buy was provocative. I had read hours and hours of reviews and spec sheets before making my choice to purchase. Armed with my knowledge, I went into the store and was greeted a dozen times before I finally found someone to help me in TVs.Once I found help, though, my pre-conceived notions were blown out of the water. Where I had labored for hours on knowing contrast ratio, hertz, lcd, led, etc. My sales associate asked me, "What do you want from your TV?" Consumer Report surely did not cover that portion of my research!Lowering my shields, I was able to enjoy the experience of buying a new tv for my family & I. Sure, typical Best Buy "add-on" sales mentality, but they seemed genuinely concerned and were not offensive when I picked and chose the things I wanted from what they recommended. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to having my new tv specially honed by a Geek Squad Agent in a few weeks!
