Fine when it's finally your turn. Stood in line almost 40 min at service counter, not one employee asked if I had been helped or how much longer I needed to wait for service. Just standing there looking like a dummy until apparently it was my turn.
I don't mind waiting, just respect my time and set some expectations. Completely ignoring customers for more than 30 min is why Walmart/Amazon have received more orders for products from me than Best Buy. No benefit of the in-person customer experience from this place.
New return policy of 2 weeks!!!
Purchased an espresso machine one month and wanted to exchange it by was denied
This will be last time I ever shop at Best Buy
I visited this store to explore options for a phone upgrade. All the employees were helpful and cordial. Gabby from mobile worked with me the most, and she did an excellent job! She really seemed to have my best interest in mind. She could have pushed to sell me something from BestBuy, but she pointed out other options and promos through my carrier. In the long run, I did purchase online from BestBuy because they had the best deal for me, but I appreciated how the employees weren’t pushy. They answered all my questions thoroughly and were very pleasant to work with.
Purchased something online, and stopped to pick it up after work tonight. Came to the Westland store because it's my hometown store, but that was a mistake. There is no dedicated place to pick something up, you need to go to the checkout counter, but at the checkout counter I got in line behind someone who was being "upselled" by Mitch, the checkout guy. Mitch was so busy with this customer that he kept people standing in line for 10 minutes while he went online and showed this guy all of the options for a product on his screen. WTF, the checkout line is for people checking out, isn't it? When I asked that very question, Mitch looked at me, grunted and then went back to what he was doing (trying to pad his numbers.) In the meantime, people are standing in line that told me they could not get a salesperson anywhere in the rest of the store. I guess they should have just come up front and talked to Mitch, because he has all the time in the world to boost his sales numbers and has no regard for anyone that's standing in line just waiting to pick something up. Great job, Mitch. I finally got out of line, went and got in an even longer line at the adjacent checkout counter, and when I left Mitch was STILL working on selling this guy on a better product. Maybe Mitch doesn't understand how customer service works. I won't be back, the Novi store is on my way home from work, and seems to care more about their customers than Mitch.
