Had an experience with a man who said he was the general manager today that left me almost speechless. There was a service advertised on the website that was not coming up at the register. So the cashier brought the manager over supposedly to help. Instead “general manager” spoke to me almost combatively and clearly had no intention of satisfying me as a customer, being helpful or even representing Best Buy professionally. I’m in upper management and I can’t believe he was selected for that role - he was miserable. The kicker was that I went home and called customer service and didn’t even have to ask for the service I wanted, they just gave it to me. So, clearly the company intends to accommodate but this guy missed the memo on what his job is.
I can see why there was hardly anyone in that store. It’s terrible. I went to a different locations to pick up my item and the store was bustling. That should tell corporate something about how horribly the Westland location is managed. I’m not giving up on Best Buy but I’ll never patron that location again.
