Had to drop this one. Might be the worst Best Buy location you’ll ever go to. Went in with a broken tv and they told me to come back in 3 hours and they couldn’t help me right then. All good until here but once I come back they take me to the geek squad department. They immediately act defensive and once I show them it is broken after turning on they say they can’t do anything for accidental damage. I purchased a 2 yr warranty and specifically asked during purchase if it will and they assured me it would. Also searched the exact name of the warranty and even said online that it covers accidental damage. Had a little back and forth with the employees and realized it’s going nowhere and they already made up their mind that they weren’t going to help. As I turn around to leave I hear one of the employees say to the other “thanks for the help with that.” I leave again and just call online and within 10 mins had a replacement order placed and the online support also was confused as to why they wouldn’t help. Very disappointed with this experience and suggest anyone in a similar situation to try every online support before coming in as they are very determined to not help you out.

I do not normally leave reviews, but the treatment I just received from Keegan at the Okemos/East Lansing store deserves to be reported as there is a large opportunity for improvement here. I am a Verizon customer and purchased an iPhone 17 pro in store this last Monday from Josh, who was a treat to work with (the reason this review isn't 1 star). Turns out it needed to be shipped, no problem. In my haste to leave the store Monday evening I forgot to ask how to track the shipment. I checked both the BB and Verizon apps today and both showed no orders placed. I started to worry so called Best Buy customer service to see if there was something different I needed to do to track the order. That agent wasn't able to help me and told me exactly what I was already seeing on both apps. So, since I work just down the road from the Okemos/East Lansing store I decided to swing by to see if they could help me. After several minutes of utter silence after I asked how to track the order, Keegan let me know that the only way to track the order is through an email that went to my spouses email since he's the main Verizon account holder. While I appreciate the information he provided, his customer service skills were literally non existent. He acted annoyed from the get and as the transaction continued, it got worse. I let him know that I felt he was being rude and reminded him that I just spent $800 in his store and expect to be treated better than he was treating me and his reply was 'Did you sign up for a payment plan with Verizon or pay in full?' I let him know that it was a payment plan (which I'm sure he already saw on his screen) to which he replied 'Well you didn't really spend $800 did you?' It's not very often that customer service at this store is this terrible but wow, I will not be back. Best Buy, y'all are selling the same crap as literally everyone else, the only thing setting you apart from others is service. Get it right or lose customers.
