I scanned the QR code on a Remarkable tablet and your app said someone would pick it and have it waiting at the pickup counter. I walked around the store for around 20 minutes before I approached the customer service desk. She seemed very confused by the process and a coworker chimed up and let me know “that’s not how it works”. Ok… so why have a QR code to scan and have brought up for you? She said she would have someone meet me at the Remarkable tablets to help me. I again waited about 10 minutes and no one came. I’m glad they had one on display because Amazon is getting one to me tomorrow AM. Over $1000 sale lost Best Buy. Do better!

8/2/25 I tried to warranty out my kids Nintendo's my kids took the s/n off and bestbuy told me that they can't tell if they are real I though geek squid work there they just hire anyone now it's a shame I spend so much money there but I can't trust them anymore with warranties

Whether or not Best Buy is directly responsible for geek squad, they are going to suffer from their lack of integrity. They treated my 4000 dollar workstation laptop like a 20 year old apple iPod. Possibly the worst service experience of my life. I've never been lied to and gaslit so profoundly in my life and then have them try and double down after I call them out on their mistake. Geek squad can't even manage a simple hard drive upgrade on a 4000 dollar workstation laptop. I asked them to install two m2 hard drives to replace my current m2 drives with larger capacity. I asked them to please verify that the gen5 pci card is in the gen 5 pcie slot on the board. I was returned a laptop with the cards in the incorrect slot. A drive that supposed to read write at 5x 14000 reading at 4x 3000. What a joke. They tried to gaslight me and tell me that "it makes no difference". The technicians here apparently dont even understand how pci lanes work and that gen 5 bottlenecks to gen 4 if put into a gen4 slot... tried to refuse to fix this until the store manager Joey got involved and fixed the situation. What a disgrace. Don't trust these guys!!! Beware! Dishonest and no integrity. I will not do business with B buy anymore. Will be canceling membership and credit card. This kind of service being sponsored by best buy is just so wrong. I've reached out to two different corporate emails in an attempt to get this documented and resolved. Edit: I just now discovered that they also over wrote my pre-cloned SSD hard drives that were partitioned exactly how I wanted them with their generic cloned settings from my old hard drives even though I specifically told them that I didnt need a hard drive clone and that they were ready to install. Add that to the list of instructions they did not follow. Absolutely insane. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
