We have a Geek Squad service plan. Computer has not been touched in 4 days. Johnny stated he was a service manager when we dropped off our son's computer. He gave us a card with a number and extension. I called for two days straight, no answer. I left a message on the, "precinct"voice mail. No call back. I drove in on the 4th day, 30 Jul and was told I would receive a call today, that the OS was installed. It's now 1700 hrs, no call. I have not received any texts or emails with updates. No one answers the phone. The overseas support staff, where not able to help either. They route you right back to the extension on the card. When I arrived this morning, the rep who tried to help looked like the ball had been dropped. She told me the tech will get to it and then asked me what we are having done... It's on the support ticket. She had to keep going back to the tech room to relay info when the tech should have come out and asked. Where are the live local in the store staff to assist customers? Why give out a number if no one answers it. What is a precinct, a police station? Why are there no call backs? Best Buy has gone down hill the past few years. Truly disappointing. I will have to drive in tomorrow to speak to a person,. 31 July: Went to the store at 1030 am driving across town. Johnny was there, I told him no one is answering the phone for two days. He shrugged his shoulders. I asked to speak to the GM, Christopher. I was told he is not in. I asked Johnny if he will check the status of my repair? He said no, and walked off. I stood in the tech support line for 20 min only to find the techs don't come to work until 11 or 1130. I went back to Johnny and asked for assistance again. I said, Johnny you are the one who checked in the system, told me 2 to 3 days for an OS install... Johnny stated he would have a tech call me by 1130 am same day. No one has called. My system has been there since 26 July. I understand queues etc but someone should have the ability to give an update. I contacted Best Buy support via X. Seems they troubleshoot via social media means now and the phone number is a call center in the Phillipines. I was told they sent an email to, the "Leadership Team..." Seems there are no leaders, no one to step up, own it and take action. As of 1300 hrs I have no status on my system. Though I am supposed to get updates via text and email, I have none. I read others have had no issues and that is great. However, the bulk of the reviews are not positive when it comes to staff interaction.

Terrible experience would not recommend paid 300 dollars a week ago to switch parts on my pc. They never started the process so I just got a refund. Since I paid with a card now I have to potentially wait another week for the my money back. Geek squad is essentially useless unless your elderly and don't know what a computer is. I guess there Technician isn't on site cause they are never there and geek squad has to call them to ask them what's going on.just find a pc store or look up on YouTube if you want computer work done.

Waited a long time to check out, even though there were lots of employees standing around, appearing to do nothing. They could see the line was getting long and no one assisted. I was second in line and by the time I checked out the line was 8 deep.
