Best Buy Springfield

If it were possible to give a negative rating, I would. In February 2026, I purchased a Roku TV from Best Buy along with an extended warranty. The TV was purchased for my mother after she came to live with us while receiving hospice care. Sadly, she has since passed away. The TV has remained on a stand in our living room. There are no children in the home, and the house is unoccupied during most workdays. To the best of my knowledge, the TV has never been mishandled, moved excessively, or subjected to any abuse. When the TV developed problems, I contacted Best Buy expecting the warranty I purchased to cover the issue. Instead, I was told that the damage "sounds like" physical damage and that the claim would be denied. No evidence was provided to support that conclusion. I am extremely disappointed that a warranty I paid extra for is being denied based on an assumption rather than a demonstrated finding. Because of this experience, I have lost confidence in Best Buy's and will not be making future purchases from the company. I have also shared my experience with friends, family, coworkers, and others so they can make informed decisions before purchasing from this company.

Went in to recycle some old computer hardware and take advantage of the 20% off Logitech coupon when trading in computer equipment advertized on BB's website. I asked at the counter if I could do the recycling program right there, the woman working the counter said yes. Scanned the mouse I was going to get with my coupon (MX Master 4), and was told my total was the retail price, so I had to specifically mention the 20% for recycling. This tells me that Best Buy has not trained their CS employees that there's a relationship between someone recycling computer equipment and purchasing logitech accessories, especially given that this promo has signage in-store. After processing the recycle and printing the coupon, when trying to apply it, the cashier told me that their system was saying that the coupon wasn't applicable to the item, despite it being the *first* result on BB's website when you click on logitech mice from the promotion page. She radioed the manager to ask for help, and she said they "weren't available", which, given how many customers were in the store at 7 PM on a Sunday, is code for "Couldn't be bothered to help". Whatever -- we'll try a different product. Picked up an MX Master 3 from the shelf to see if that worked with the coupon. Same error, so I just left. I checked the website and the printed coupon and there doesn't seem to be any indication that the MX Master 3 or 4 are excepted from the promotion, so exactly what caused BB's system to not permit the use of the coupon remains a mystery. The promotion did its job of getting me into a store I wouldn't usually shop at to buy a product that I didn't really need, and even though the cashier made an attempt to resolve the issue, store management couldn't be bothered. Stick to going to Micro Center.

Damir at the Best Buy in Springfield pa gave me excellent customer service while I was returning my MacBook I was very pleased.
