If I could give one star I would, I spent over an hour on the phone trying to resolve an issue with my tv. I was then told I just need to make an appointment to go in and have my tv looked at. I came in for my appointment and was just blatantly told that because I didn’t get the warranty I needed to go to the manufacturer. Worker was so rude to me and didn’t even try to help me. Normally I would never write a review because I also work in customer service but this interaction after sitting in traffic to get to the appointment was such a let down. When in customer service i personally feel that no matter what you should show kindness and at least respect towards your customers. Will not be returning
I went to Best Buy to return an item that cost $29.99. It had been less than 30 days since purchase, but I was told the return/refund window was only 14 days. I understand policy is policy, but the way the cashier handled it was very disappointing. She was rude and even said, “Oh, well, it has been 14 days since I’ve been working here, I don’t know before that,” which was unprofessional.
Instead of simply explaining options, she tried to sell me a $49.99 annual membership so I could process the return, meaning I would have to spend $20 more just to return my item. I was shocked. I said no and asked for store credit instead. At first, she refused, but after I insisted again, she processed it in seconds. Clearly, it was possible the whole time.
This felt like a pushy sales tactic and a lack of real customer service. I wasn’t there for a membership; I was there to make a simple return. I left frustrated and honestly don’t want to shop here again. Customer service should be about helping customers, not upselling them when they’re trying to fix an issue.
