I walked into Best Buy just looking for a phone charger, and walked out with a full-blown existential crisis. First, the greeter greeted me like we were old college roommates. I thought, "Okay, this is nice!" But by aisle three, I realized I wasn’t prepared for this level of temptation.
I told myself I’d just browse. But there was a 75-inch TV calling my name, promising I’d finally feel like I was IN the football game. I swiped my card faster than a toddler swiping on an iPad. By the time I hit the gaming section, I was a man possessed. Controllers, consoles, a chair with LED lights—I left Best Buy with enough tech to open my own eSports team.
Fast forward to home: My wife wasn’t thrilled about the TV the size of a small country in the living room, but I reassured her, "Honey, it’s for us!" (Translation: It’s for me.) I thought she’d come around...until she found out about the VR headset.
Now I live in the garage, but at least it’s Wi-Fi-enabled, thanks to my Best Buy shopping spree.
Would I do it again? 100%. 5 stars. Best Buy: ruining budgets and marriages, but making dreams come true since forever.
