Best Buy Colonial Heights

I hadn’t shopped at one of these stores since a bad experience I had almost 10 years ago, but since I was looking for a specific item, I thought I’d give it a try again. Boy was I WRONG. A lighter skinned gentleman with curly hair asked what I needed help with and radioed to someone my attire so they knew what I looked like and where to find me. Cool no problem there. I waited about 5-10 minutes past that just to have the same gentleman, and other employees walk past me as I waited on them. It wasn’t until I was WALKING OUT that someone asked if I needed help beyond the time the guy radioed for someone. Now I have worked a variety of jobs and understand being busy. But this review is specifically because the white gentleman with the baseball cap who asked me if I needed help as I was WALKING OUT OF THE STORE, walked past me prior to that and then stayed at the front of the store standing behind a black woman and just talking to her—what seemed like a non-work related conversation. He only seemed interested in helping me after I was already on the way out, and when I said “I’m good bro” he again asked “well what did you need help with?” And I told him not to worry about it the same way he didn’t when he walked past. I should have trusted my instinct about not going back to this chain of stores since the last time was very similar to this interaction. But, I thought time could’ve changed things. I was wrong and I’m okay with that. Just be aware if you go, you probably won’t get help from workers in the store because they’ll be walking around (seemingly avoiding you) and finding other things to do but stop and show you where something is. I won’t be back to see if anything changes again in the coming years. *** physical description of employees only used due to lack of name tags***
