It’s honestly frustrating how Best Buy has turned into more of a display case than an actual store. Every time I go in looking for something specific—whether it’s a camera accessory, laptop part, or even a basic cable—they never have it in stock. What’s the point of all those shelves if nothing is actually available to buy? At this point, Best Buy feels like a model showroom for Amazon. I walk in, look at the products, test them out, maybe talk to a helpful rep… then go home and order it online because that’s the only way to actually get it. It’s sad, really. This used to be the go-to tech store. Now it’s just a middle step between searching and clicking “buy” somewhere else.

Went to Best Buy in Pinole so they can check out my stereo system I got. The guy said it was fine, they can install it I just needed to make an appointment. They were all booked so I had to make an appointment for Vacaville. Today was my appointment, they say arrive 5mins before you appointment time I get here they aren’t open. At 9am the guy doles out I give him my stereo system & he says he has to look at it because they might not be able to install it because they’re different than the Pinole store. He comes back out 5mins later & says they can’t install it because cars can’t play videos while people are driving. Mind you I bought this system off on Amazon & in the reviews people went to Best Buy to get it installed. Clearly a waste of time & horrible customer service.
