I purchased a Ring outdoor camera from Best Buy with Geek Squad installation and have a Best Buy Total membership. When the camera developed moisture inside the lens, I expected a simple warranty repair process.
Instead, the service experience was inconsistent and frustrating from the start. I was given changing instructions, appointments were mishandled, and I ultimately went through multiple rounds of communication just to get a clear path forward.
Even after escalation, the “solution” still requires multiple steps on my end; removing the camera, transporting it to the store for evaluation, waiting for processing, and then scheduling yet another visit for reinstallation.
So what should have been a straightforward repair on a professionally installed security device has turned into repeated appointments, added inconvenience, and downtime.
The lack of a streamlined, reliable service process for a paid installation and membership program is what made this experience so frustrating.
I really hope Best Buy doesn't follow the same fate as Circuit City. Generally, I'll find what I need online (through their websit) and just come grab it off the floor. They had a great Memorial Day sale. We were able to nab a "40 Toshiba TV for $100

They might as well go to online ONLY!! Store is scarce. Hardly any items on hand. I am a gamer and EVERY TIME I go in for games or gaming gear they have NOTHING!! Ibam told to order online. Not sure as to why they have store front 🤔
