The Geek Squad is awesome. Steve fixed my cell phone fixed when Verizon squad could not and tried to sell me a new cell phonel instead.

Best Buy has false advertising online - you dial a phone number thinking you’re able to call a local store then you end up talking to an AI machine and when you do get transferred to a human you’re talking to support in Asia. The online chat service is just as bad. Online information on the website is inadequate, which is what prompted the call and you can’t speak to a human at Best Buy unless you physically walk into a store. Bad support move Best Buy, I already ordered through Amazon.

My first experience with Geek squad didn’t go so well and you might wonder why the five Star review. Well that’s gonna be because Jorge at the store saved the day. The first person I worked with at Geek squad didn’t go so well and I had to return to the store after dropping off my computer. Miscommunication for sure. But the way I was told about it didn’t seem right. That I had just walked off when the guy in the Geek squad had just walked off and left me there waiting. I was told by the guy that if i didn’t return before 6pm he would reschedule my appointment and I have to come and pickup computer. I assumed we were done as the Geek guy just left me there after taking my computer and telling me the diagnostics would cost $100. I thought I paid when I picked it up. So I literally had to speed back to Best Buy and made it five minutes before 6 PM. And for the record, no one showed up for a 6 PM appt.
When I returned I asked to speak with GM Vandyke but he wasn’t in. So Jorge was called in and after a few conversations he turned a two star into a five star. Thanks Jorge for getting the right guy involved and for going the extra distance. For that, I bought the membership!
