My recent experience at Best Buy was not just underwhelming — it was outright frustrating and disappointing. I attempted to return an item I had purchased just the day before, using Apple Pay. I don’t recall being handed a physical receipt at the time of purchase. When I returned to the store, the cashier seemed willing to help but quickly stated they had “exhausted all options” because I didn’t have a receipt and didn’t use a physical card. The situation was escalated to a manager, Adrianna, who repeated the same line: “We can’t verify the purchase.” In 2025 — with digital records, advanced POS systems, and infinite tech resources — you’re telling me a major retailer can’t look up a transaction from the previous day? Adrianna couldn’t check Apple Pay records, search by timeframe, inventory sold, or even assist with identifying a transaction tied to my visit. Frustrated, I returned to my car and called Best Buy Customer Service directly. Within 10 minutes, they located the transaction and confirmed the return was valid. They were shocked the store couldn’t process it themselves. The back-and-forth between the store and customer service wasted my time and energy. It was completely avoidable. This is exactly why Amazon is winning — and why you’re falling behind

Horrible customer service. The team at the store needs to work on its communication skills. I went in, knowing what I wanted to purchase; however, no one could assist me. I spoke to the manager, and he also didn’t seem to care. There’s no doubt about it: That’s the reason Best Buy goes through a restructure every year: there are people who don’t want to work and don’t value customer service.

I bought my son a iPhone 16 refurbished for $840.00 ….but Best Buy never told me when you buy refurbish iPhone that apple won’t let you get your warranty for apple care . So I called Best Buy customer service they told me since I had a membership with them that it allows me to have 60 days to take back the item that I bought..I paid $50. I have 60 days to return it . I bought on 06/29/2025 and returned back on 07/30/2025 in the Rancho Cucamonga ca store The two managers that were there told me they would return it but then they if it wasn’t over 61 days but since it is he can’t …..the girl said I only had 14 days to return product back !..so I went back in the store told the manager it’s only been 30 days he said ohh did I mess up on my math!…. I said it’s not even 61 days it’s 30 days He told me oh I’m sorry if it was 14 days! He went back on his words he could’ve took it back But customer service said I had 60 days to return. Manager only wanna give me credit in the store only !..I do not want store credit. I want my money back just like how I bought it. they need to tell there customers that your buying a product that you can’t get warranty on but no they allow not to tell there customers at all.. what a shame on Best Buy .
