Best Buy Vallejo

I wasn’t going to leave a review but I think it might help improve the store. I bought a Metaquest 3 a year ago and got the two year Geeksquad warranty. I told the bestbuy employee it broke and I just wanted a replacement since it’s still under warranty. So he got replacement which had a different sku and wanted me to pay $100+ for the increase in price. I explained that I have a Geeksquad warranty and that I’m not supposed to pay anything. He said I have to pay because it’s “upgraded.” I was like that’s crazy because the box says “Metaquest 3.” I paid and then spoke to the Vallejo Bestbuy Manager. He told me it had upgraded hardware so I went home and started researching and found out the is absolutely no difference and that Meta increased their prices due to supply issues. I called Bestbuy customer service who told me the store made a mistake and all I needed to do was talk to the Geeksquad manager to resolve it. I spoke with the Vallejo Store manager who just ended up refunding me which I appreciate. Unfortunately employees need training in handling returns and they need to understand the Geeksquad Warranty. Geeksquad in my opinion appeared to be very competent at this store, however Bestbuy employees seem less knowledgeable or competent.

My camera has 3 settings to record and see from the front, inside the car, or what's behind me. It is not just a backup camera. I use it to see behind me a all times because I have a vinyl tint in the back window. The maintenance technician - Mr Ben installed it under my rear bumper through the spare tire. I went through the car wash several times and still works great. It control display is under the rear view mirror. Driving with a clear rear view is amazing.

Worse store ever the worker here don’t even know how to use their system and so went I told them to cancel my order because it was fraud they hung up on me

Now I see why stores like this are closing! Walked in and looking for a car charger. It took 10 minutes before anybody offered to help. After I found out that they don’t have the stock that I was looking for I went to go purchase a cord. Took it to the counter and was charged double of the price I seen at the shelf. After explaining what was going on, the cashier proceeded to argue with me that I was wrong or it was in the wrong place. I asked for a manager and got nothing but attitude. Enjoy your jobs while these types of stories last.It used to be an experience to go in and look at all the new products. But with poor customer service, cheaper online pricing and delivery to my front door, it’s no wonder why stores like this are going into extinction!
