Had to visit the Geek Squad at Best Buy for a broken screen on my 2023 MacBook Pro. Shanen was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Since my AppleCare had expired a few months before the screen cracked, we knew the repair would be costly. While the required diagnostics were running, Shanen took the time to walk me through Best Buy’s inventory, including new, refurbished, and open box options, so I could compare alternatives.
The screen replacement quote came in just over $800 with a two to three week turnaround, which was consistent with a private Apple repair shop, though Best Buy’s repair timeline was longer. In the end, I decided to go with an open box 14 inch 2025 MacBook Pro instead.
