In the age of smash and grab theft, it always blows my mind that paying customers get treated like this:
I pay the max membership so I can enjoy hassle-free returns, but unfortunately it doesn't stop - let's call them, "Sandy", at the register from activating her super detective powers..🕵️♂️🕵️♀️🕵️
I have my receipt on my phone, but she wants to take my phone to read the receipt like by line. I asked detective Sandy about her process; inquiring as to why she couldn't take her scanning gun, scan my barcode, scan the item barcode, and proceed? What is the purpose of holding onto my phone the entire time?
She's said "I just need to make sure it's there, you know. "
I said, "yeah that's what the bar code is for". Then she says, "force of habit"
- the entire thing made no sense, but I myself am not a seasoned Detective. #civilian.
I had to make two different returns and each time, detective Sandy cavity searched the boxes and interviewed them separately. She held them eye level and let them know she's been on the force for 25 years and nothing was going to get passed her - Not on her watch - not ever. 🕵️🔫💯
But seriously she inspected each item for at least 5 minutes, and I just had to stand there and watch Detective Sandy chase a dead end lead 😔⚰️ it was really hard for a rookie to watch 😣 she was in too deep.
Anyways, I walked the store and found an item to replace my returns. I go to the register and Detective Sandy is still on duty, thank Go-....................
SHE DROPS IT!!!!🤦♂️🤦♀️🤦 DETECTIVE SANDY -THE MOST METICULOUS SOLDIER I KNOW - DROPPED MY $100+ ITEM.
Was she lashing out? Did they take her badge? I don't know I was only gone for a few minutes!!!
Needless to say, the entire thing was unnecessary. I really hope I don't need to go through something like this again Hassle free people! Hassle free!!
They were a little slow, but I did get what I came in for and made a new friend in the process. Great customer service!
This BestBuy store is picky with returns. The condition is normal and complete with the package. They would not accept the return product even during the 60 day return period. Not welcome.
