I recently purchased an open-box "Excellent" condition Philips - Hue Solo Lightstrip 5m (16ft) - White and Color Ambiance on 2/16/2025. Easy process online and the staff was very friendly. However, upon receiving the item, I noticed several issues. The box appeared damaged, and when I opened it, I found wiring tape around the control box. The adhesive backing was partially worn from prior use, and most concerningly, the lightstrip displayed a defect where it only emitted green light (attached photo). This condition does not align with what I would expect from an "Excellent" rating and, in my opinion, may not even qualify as "Fair." I made a 45-minute trip for this same-day pickup, which will now result in a return. I wanted to bring this to your attention as it raises concerns about the accuracy of open-box condition ratings. Thankfully, BestBuy stayed true to their return policy.

Terrible service!!! I went there to get a new power cord for my Apple laptop. Told the girl at the door that I needed help, she sent me to the back the Apple section and said someone would be by to help me. Shortly after a young girl emerged from the back to help me I explained what I needed and showed her I had the laptop and current charger with me. The girl went straight for the power cords and showed me one with a USB C. I explained mine did not use a USB C port at all and showed her the power cord she looked at the charging port (a1inch magnetic port ) she grabbed one and handed it to me. I asked if we could make sure it would work first, she said I had to purchase it first (which is stupid you should bake sure you have the correct product first) any I purchase it and then ask where I can lug up my computer to make sure it works before leaving since I live an hour away and there is no Best Buy where I live. The manager Kevin or Kevin (a very young man) said it was against store policy to allow me to use any outlet period. Even when I explained I didn’t want to wait til I hit home an hour later to make sure it worked he insisted I could not use there outlet and that he could be fired for allowing me to. Needless to say I was livid! I went next door to Michael’s they were about to close but after hearing g what happened allowed me to check my computer. After opening the products it was a magnet port and usb c port that does not work on my computer so the girl that helped me didn’t even listen to when I told her no usb c port and just gave me what ever I went back to store and returned immediately. I also called customer service who said we was not aware of any such store policy regarding checking my product by plugging the computer in to make sure it works . Bottom line Best Buy had hired rude lazy employees who don’t make any effort to actually help the customer . Will no longer shop at Best Buy thanks to Kevin
