My wife and I decided to buy Oura rings at $400/each. Went to BB to try them on knowing that the odds of them having the size and color that we both wanted was a long shot, but when we looked through their locked secure case it looked like they might have actually had the sizes and and we wanted!
We asked the worker to open the case so we could see the size and colors (because their plastic toylike display of fake Oura rings was a joke). The guy said, “Oh no, I’m not allowed to let you touch the merchandise”. I told him we’d likely buy them if he could provide a bit of customer service. “What, you want to look at the box or something?” He was so rude and condescending! Also, the ring he pulled out of their sacred case was rose gold and we wanted regular gold. “It’s the same thing”. I pointed at the box behind which actually WAS gold and the right size. “Oh, OK.”
Told him never-mind, pulled out my phone and pushed “buy now” on the two rings we wanted on Amazon. They were on my doorstep 12 hours later. Then I bought my daughter one from Amazon a few days later. Then her friend bought one on Amazon after hearing our story. We will likely buy my son one from Amazon now too.
I’m not sure if it’s a bad worker, or terrible management (or both) but Best Buy has lost $1600+ so far on these rings just from us. No wonder Amazon is kicking their a_ _.
