I visited this location about a week ago to do some research on smart home devices & prices.
Walking in the door, I saw a sign posted that stated that this location would be closing permanently as of March 7th, 2020, if I recall correctly.
I was not surprised that this store is slated to be closed - I lived in the Brier Creek area for years and this was my local Best Buy store. I don't know if it was down to the associates, location, smaller square footage of the store, or something else, but I have never really been impressed by this location.
In the past, save for one positive experience when I purchased an NVIDIA Shield TV on a snow day just after the store opened and I was practically the first customer of the day, I always had issues finding the items I wanted had no stock at this store and ended up just visiting the Crabtree location instead.
I'm sad to see BBY closing locations but I'm glad that I've since discovered other stores that consistently have better stock and associates that tend not to be as pushy and are very helpful (Knightdale is a good example).
I know I'll personally be frequenting the Knightdale and Crabtree stores as I've had the best experience with these and they are now my closest stores after this location closes.
