Very helpful young man (Richard) in electronics dept. Recommended the right solution.
I used to shop at Best Buy all the time. Today I called the store in Temple, TX to inquire about a TV they have for sale on Amazon. I was going to go pick it up myself for my Mom with Dementia so she has a TV in her room at the memory care facility.
I'm greeted on the phone by AI telling me it will help me find what I'm looking for. I tried multiple ways to talk to a live person, but the system runs you in circles, doing everything it can to not let you talk to anyone. I told this dumb AI that I wanted to verify they have something specific before I make a 45 minute round trip. The AI's response was, "Keep in mind that associates can not tell you anymore about availability than what is online."
Ya know what, never mind, I'll just order a different one on Amazon. Best Buy and other stores today are struggling these days and it's really no wonder why. Customer service is pathetic these days. Most times you walk into this store it's definitely not busy with shoppers, but they choose to not even answer their phone to help a customer. Brick and mortar stores like Best Buy have done it to themselves.
