Went here today to purchase a new Mac book and spoke with John (a manager). Initially my experience was going well and he seemed nice. However, towards the end I felt like instead of being given a choice, he was TELLING me to buy extra things such as Best Buy plus and Microsoft. “You’re going to hit accept…you’re going to get that…”. He also claimed that people who didn’t get the Best Buy card were essentially stupid. I felt very pressured to agree to everything. When I explained I get Microsoft for free, he told me it isn’t and that it isn’t possible I did before and explained I had to pay for it. I found out later today that my college provides it for free and that’s why I never did pay for it. Needless to say I cancelled the extra unnecessary charges, but wish I never allowed them in the first place. Trust me, I understand how the sales industry works as I used to work in it. I get trying to persuade someone to purchase something and that it earns them commission. However, this was merely conning. I am a college student. I feel he used my vulnerability against me as I was very flustered that my previous Mac book was suddenly broken and I needed one for my upcoming exams as a student. I’ve never ever written a review until now.
Clean store, stocked shelves. But don’t come here if you want to shop on your own. Was asked by 6 different employees if we needed help within 5 minutes. How do I know if I need help if you don’t even give me a chance to look at something I might be buying? To top it off, walked out the door with empty hands and was asked if I found every alright. What does it look like? I’m okay with employees being present and available if help is needed, but don’t be encroaching on my shopping experience.
