This was the worst purchasing/customer service experience I've had in the last 20 years. My advice to you: Don't purchase vehicle items at Best Buy and then have the Geek Squad AutoTech install them. I've taken off work 3 times now to bring my truck in and after explaining to this tech my frustration at being told yet another, until now unmentioned part is required, he just shrugged and smiled.
If you're looking for car audio, alarm, etc., your "Best" bet would be to spend the extra cash and take it to a local shop that does that kind of work.
Your second "best" bet would be to have your cousin who installed stereos for his high school buddies in the 90s take a stab it.
Your third "best" bet would be to do nothing at all and just drive your vehicle as-is.
Then finally, if all those fail you, have the Geek Squad install your stereo and remote start. Be prepared to be told at every turn you need a different, extra part to make *that work but they can't do it now, you'll have to schedule a time to come back.

Need help with car services, no one there to help me. Try to schedule online, but need to reset my password wasn’t able to cause I can’t get the code that the website say they sent to me. Ugh quite a time waster that was.

I came in for a computer repair of a 7 year old laptop. They advised me that they cannot replace the charging port due to the model of the computer connecting the charging port to the motherboard. I ended up getting a new laptop, and they transferred my data. The transfer was complete much sooner than they estimated! My new laptop works great, and I may go to a specialized repair shop to get the old one fixed.
