Five wks ago I went to this Best Buy to buy their top-end Lenova laptop for $2066. I needed it asap because my business laptop broke, and their website said they sell that model.
First, their sales guy was very unethical because he said "yes, I have 2 of them in stock, let me just get some info from you first". He wasted my time asking me to join the annual membership for discounts (no!), the extended warranty (no!), the Geek Squad (no!), then took my visa and charged the $2066, and only then told me he would have it shipped to my home in 2 days!
Ok, in 2 days their shipper (OnTrac) showed on their tracking # "Not Yet Received". I called Best Buy Cust Svce multiple times per day, and every time they said "Check back tomorrow".
I drove back to the store 1 week later and the Store MGR, Wyatt Crowell, said there is a problem in the computer that they cannot cancel the $2160 charge against my Visa until OnTrac picks up the laptop, but he would personally escalate to Corp Best Buy and get me a refund so I could go to another Best Buy and purchase. I drove to El Cajon and immediately purchased the same laptop (for another $2160 on my Visa).
Now, 5 weeks later, OnTrac still says "Not Yet Received" and I still have the $2160 charge on my Visa that Best Buy says "our computer won't let us cancel and refund until OnTrac picks up the laptop from Fremont".
I paid 2x $2060 for one laptop and cannot get a refund for the one I never received after 5 weeks.
This is a very unethical and incompetent store.
Excellent service and really appreciate John and the help and advise he provided regarding home theater options. Never felt like he was trying to "up-sell" me. He was excellent!
I've gone in twice to check out and price ovens and not once had a salesperson come and offer to help our answer questions. I bet if I came with a man or a husband, they would act differently. I know bc it's happened in the past.
Best Buy has the worst customer service. I’ve spent around $20,000 over the years; home entertainment systems, computers, fridge, microwave, dishwasher etc. All from Worst Buy. This past November 2024 I purchased a 65” Samsung and one of the boards is defective. They told me not their problem, go contact Samsung. I did and Samsung is willing to give me partial refund but will not pay for Worst Buy’s delivery and installation $275.
Worst Buy called because I had escalated my complaint but today I was told “lots of people send lots of money with us, sorry can’t help you. Now that’s what I call great customer service…
