Went when it was a little busy, during my lunch hoir. But, got in and out of the store in a decent amount of time to get back to pick up a quick bite and get back to work.
I like to come to best buy because you'll find some cool deals.
Retail is dead. I was counting on Best Buy (BB) to fulfill my need for a point n shoot and/or DSLR camera. The store was large, airy and parking was fairly easy (shared with Walmart). BB had quite a selection of electronic goodies. Not an in-depth selection but a span of electronic goods. Appliances, phones, speakers and yard equipment to name a few. I was even distracted by the nice selection of Bluetooth speakers. I fiddled with a few different brands; I could not experience the sound of any of em. The display flashed and seemed to be powered but no sound or sound demo from the speakers I tried JBL SONY and UE. Onto the camera section-three tables several end caps of product-all of them tethered to cables or within a security box/cabinet. I asked for help and was met with limited knowledge other than showing me the section. I couldn’t pick up the cameras due to them being attached to a swiveling mounted display and others were theft wrapped in steel cables and a puck. I couldn’t feel the weight, bring the camera up to my eye, experience how the camera controls felt in my hand, nothing. I realized then why so many people rely on influencers or YouTube product specialists when making purchases. My quest for a camera continues, perhaps I’ll give SJ Camera a try or watch YT vids and order on-line from the comfort of my couch. Perhaps the best reason to visit BB is for accessories related to electronics… Memory cards, earbuds, phone cases, etc. I didn’t buy anything but I would have liked to.
The store we went to for help was absolutely unprofessional.
Instead of offering a solution, the staff were rude, raised their voices at us, and acted like it wasn’t their problem.
We came in hoping to resolve a simple issue, but left feeling disrespected and frustrated.
They didn’t even try to make things right — no apology, no support, not even basic courtesy.
