I ordered Meta glasses from Best Buy on October 9th as a birthday gift for my husband (his birthday is October 17th). The consultant at the store assured me that the order would be delivered by October 16th.
After I purchased it, in the app it suddenly said “will ship on the 16th,” which already meant it would arrive late — but I decided to wait. Now it’s October 21st, and the order is still “processing.” No updates, no emails, no tracking — nothing at all.
To make things even worse, the consultants at the store don’t seem to know anything about the products or the delivery process. Every answer is vague or incorrect.
I finally decided to cancel the order, and now Best Buy is refunding only $379 out of the $410 I paid with taxes and fees. How is that even fair?
This whole experience has been awful — terrible communication, untrained staff, misleading delivery promises, and incomplete refund. Shame on you, Best Buy. I’m never purchasing from you again. This is complete BS.
Double-Check Your Pre-Order - Best Buy Won’t
If you pre-order anything, make sure it’s on your receipt or you’ll never get it. Cashiers need to be educated to properly add pre-order items and be upfront if something’s sold out. A little honesty would’ve saved me time and frustration. If I’d known, I would’ve gone to GameStop instead.

Very helpful people employed there. I found exactly what I was needed and received lots of assistance.
