Best Buy Fort Wayne

I ended up coming to this location to window shop and it was nice seeing all of the new technology before the holiday season. There was tons of workers asking if you needed any help. They did seem to have a lot of open box items that were somewhat discounted however, some of the quality of the items that were open box do not look brand new. At least they’re being honest about what’s been opened and not just repackaging things for customers to be surprised with when they go home. The main reason for three stars is that in this economy they price is at Best Buy usually are more expensive than online. I typically will window shop and then buy online with the best price available.

I found a television stand that I wanted to purchase. The price was clearly marked on a sign accompanied by the description of the item. The description on the sign matched the television stand it was sitting on. I asked an employee for assistance because I was unable to find this unit in a box. He quickly removed the sign, stating the price was inaccurate, then said the item was out of stock. I told him I would purchase the one on the floor, and he told me he could not sell it to me. I asked why not and stated that I had bought a "last item" on the floor from them previously. He refused, so I asked to speak with the department manager. He told me he was in charge of the department and would not sell it to me. He was pretty aggressive and rude about the situation. I eventually spoke to another manager and showed her the picture of the item I took on my phone before speaking to the guy. She was super kind. Asked me who I spoke with and sold me the item. Found out the guy was not a manager and just had a bad attitude. This was a terrible experience, but the lady was kind and apologetic for the guy's actions.

Well equipped, had what we looked at on-line. Clerk helped us with answers, checked out. Easy pezy. Tnx.

Inventory was extremely low.
