Wow one of the worst purchases of my life. I will preface this by saying that the in-store employees and selections of appliances are both wonderful. It is with their customer service and support that became an almost four week nightmare. I initially purchased an open box Whirlpool Dishwasher which was in mint condition. Somehow during delivery it was so damaged that the appliances wasn't even brought to my home. Called customer service simply to have this purchase refunded and I was told to wait 24 hours so the return could be processed with the delivery company. Took repeated calls to customer service when this never occurred repeatedly asking for my money to get refunded. The last straw was speaking with someone who was barely speaking English that there would be no refunds as their records showed that the delivery had taken place! After screaming at this person that I was not hiding a broken dishwasher in our home I was given another number to call. Finally reached someone who was able to contact the independent delivery company who verified my account and my payment was returned. Went back to the Best Buy Outlet and picked out another great KitchenAid dishwasher. Paid for 5 year service plan, installation and a haul away of our old machine. Several days later received the new machine but the install could be completed as the machine was missing the KitchenAid drain hose. Install crew tried their best to try to use hoses from the old dishwasher and the generic dishwasher install kit without success. I was told to go pick up the needed hose at the Outlet store and they would return to complete the installation. Needless to say the staff at the BEST BUY store said they did not have drain hoses and I would need to contact customer service to have them order the correct part and send another installer. Second Best Buy Geek Squad service man asked me to meet at my home and said yes looks like I needed new hoses. He of course also had no appropriate hoses himself to solve this issue. I told him the hoses had been ordered already once but he indicated he wanted to ensure that they would arrive an so ordered them again. Another installation was again scheduled for late in the week. Needless to say again nothing ever arrived at my home and when I contacted customer service I was told that no hoses had been ordered according to their computers. I was then told that I should go to another different Best Buy store that had the hoses in stock for my installation. However when I arrived for the pickup I immediately saw that the hoses left for me was the generic installation kit THAT DID NOT WORK WITH MY MACHINE. I was given two phone numbers to call to try to order the parts directly from KitchenAid. Contacted Geek Squad customer service and after much time listening to Best Buy music on hold was told that no a hose kit with three hoses was coming to our home via FedEx. I was then instructed to cancel my installation and make a new appointment when the hoses finally came. I called the Appliances Delivery and Instation phone number and told them I wanted this dishwasher out out of my home immediately. I was told no it would take an additional week to have this done. Finally after much more discussion another rep agreed to finally have the dishwasher picked up in three days.
I promised everyone I spoke to at this company that I would NEVER purchase anything at Best Buy again and given their deplorable and incompetent services should not even be in business.
LET MY EXPERIENCE BE YOUR WARNING OF THE SERVICE YOU WILL RECEIVE IF ANYTHING NEEDS THE HELP OF THEIR SO-CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE!
