I brought my laptop in for ongoing charging issues and explained its still covered under AppleCare. The Geek Squad employee immediately suggested there was probably nothing they could do and that I'd likely need to buy a new laptop, which made no sense give the AppleCare coverage.
After I asked them to send it to Apple (what they said they usually do), they took my laptop and information and then left me waiting at the counter for an additional 15+ min with no updates. When I checked in twice they couldn't tell me whether they needed anything else from me or how much longer it would take (and didn't seem particularly concerned).
It also took a long time just to be acknowledged when I first arrived. Between the lack of communications and poor customer service, I asked for my laptop back to take directly to an Apple Store instead.
I definitely don't recommend Best Buy's Geek Squad!

Avoid the man with the clipboard. He is the worst customer service or manager. Apple helped to set up an appointment. I verified the part was available and arrived on time for the appointment. This man came out of nowhere to say, "they won't work on your, what do you have? I will check if part is available" I told him I had verified. He asked, "how could you, you could not". When he came out in a despicable tone he said, "the part is available, but you can leave the phone and pick it up next day." We had told him we traveled from another state to get it repaired. Even when there is an Apple poster that says need it fast.
Apple, if you partnered with companies that can't comply, can't satisfy customer's with service when parts are available, for a service/extended warranty paid customer. Then customers will drop Apple and or bestbuy for the ineptitude of a micromanaging man with a clipboard.
