I’ve been a loyal Best Buy customer for years, spending thousands annually, but this store has completely lost my confidence. It’s now impossible to call the store directly — all calls are routed overseas to people who can’t actually connect you, which is beyond frustrating. Most recently, my router failed just three days past the end of a 4-year extended warranty. In the past, managers would show flexibility in situations like this to build goodwill with long-time customers. Not anymore. The manager here was rigid, dismissive, and unwilling to consider anything beyond the fine print. What makes this worse is that it’s the same manager who once accused me of “working the system” when I returned a faulty product to this store (even though I had bought it at another Best Buy). I found that insulting then, and nothing has improved since. This location no longer values loyal customers. Rigid policies, outsourced phone service, and poor management have driven me away — and I won’t be back. ##UPDATE TO BEST BUYS RESPONSE: "Thank you for the canned response, but this completely proves my point — Best Buy no longer values direct, local customer service. You’re asking me to chase this down through social media with a reference number instead of simply addressing the issue at the store where it occurred. My concern isn’t just about a failed router. It’s about years of poor treatment from the same manager and the loss of the customer-focused flexibility that used to set Best Buy apart. Passing me off to Twitter or Facebook doesn’t solve that. Until Best Buy is willing to take real ownership at the store level, this reply is just corporate lip service."
