I recently purchased an open-box TV from this Best Buy, and while I understood the risks of buying used, I expected accurate information from the staff. The associate helping me was upfront about the TV’s condition, mentioning that it didn’t come with a remote or power cable, which was fine. They assured me, however, that the TV had a stand and even checked the type of power cable I would need, which I purchased separately.
After driving 40 minutes home, I discovered that the power cable was incorrect and the TV had no stand. By then, the store was closed, so I had to make another 40-minute trip back the next day. At that point, I was told there were no feet for the TV and that I would need to buy a universal stand and another power cable. What started as a budget-friendly upgrade quickly became just as expensive as a brand-new TV—except with the added inconvenience of 120 minutes of driving and unnecessary frustration.
Ultimately, I returned the TV and took my business elsewhere. It’s disappointing when employees, who are supposed to be trained to help customers make the right purchases, provide misleading or incorrect information instead. Best Buy, please train your staff properly so they are solving problems, not creating more of them.
The gentleman at the return counter went beyond expectations, making sure we had the right accessory.

Limited selection in store. Not sure if this is store specific or the downfall of Best Buy. Many available staff for assistance, be warned they push their membership at every sale.
