Placed an order for Curbside Pickup. On my way to the location realized I needed to pick something else up so I parked walked in and did my shopping. Staff in the store was friendly and continued to check in when walking by. Once I got to the check out the employee named Matthew was helping his friend I would assume look through an entire box of Pokemon cards so that they could find something specific... Odd but ok. Matthew asks me to come over to check out, when I walked up I said "I also have a Curbside Pickup" and was promptly met with "You are going to have to go park in a spot and check in, it messes with (My or Our) numbers so I can't help you here". Odd as the app has a QR code to scan for InStore Pickup. I didn't pay it much thought and checked out. As I was walking away Matthew make sure to tell me step by step how to use curbside pickup making me stop while I was leaving to listen to the rest of his statement.... Could be that Best Buy has a really bad inventory system and the employees are just protecting the bottom line. I go outside get in my car, pull up the app and move to an open spot. I check in and get my code. At this time Matthew is walking out the door vaping talking loudly enough that I could hear him half way across the parking lot while he talking to his friend about how he could get fired for something around what they were doing with the Pokemon cards... I wait (no more then 5 minutes) and a different employee comes out to deliver my curbside order. I ask him if I would be able to walk in and pick up an order if I put curbside on the order and was told "Yes you can". So here I am trying to give the benefit to Matthew but come to realize he is clearly doing something he should not be doing with his friend and a tub full of Pokemon cards, lies to me about being able to process my Curbside inside and clearly he was more interested in going outside to hang out with his friend and vape while talking loud enough about something he could get in trouble for. The employee (sorry I got snappy) told me he would talk to a manager and walked away after speaking with me. Generally I don't leave reviews but after that interaction and the clear misconduct (be it true or just something being said) leave me to find a different Best Buy to do my business with if this employee is proud about his actions and "Could be fired" situation he was not shy about hiding. Colorado Mills Best Buy - I do hope that the awesome employee who delivered my curbside did actually speak to a manager and I hope that Matthew has a good conversation about customer service... I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and then he decided to change that mindset and prompted this review. For those reading this far, this location is generally really awesome and I love that its close to my house. My receipt didn't have a phone number only a customer service code (email receipt) and when I tried to call I got routed to a call center and not the location. I hope that someone at Best Buy cares enough to read this and take action and keep this location working like it always has. Matthew could be awesome, I just might have caught him on a bad day...
If you call, you get AI, which of it doesn't understand hand up on you
Terrible customer service. Came to return something and they denied it because they didn’t want it to affect their store numbers. Told me to go to the original store I bought it at.
