On 4/24/26, I went to purchase a stereo with CarPlay and backup camera for my 2007 Chevy Equinox. According to the system, the installation for the stereo and camera was supposed to be $199 but was reduced to zero amount due to a promotion but later I learned that I have to pay $99.
The camera to be delivered to my house on 5/1. I made an install appointment for 5/2/26.
The camera never arrived on the expected date.
On 5/2 of the installation date, I leaned that the camera was a dash camera and I have to purchase a different license plate camera and pay an additional $150 (total of $99 + $150 =$250) for installing the backup camera.
Totally unexpected and disappointed with the purchasing experience.
The installation went very well and my thanks to Brian.
