I was just at Best Buy with the geek squad to have my laptop repaired with the warranty that I purchased when I bought the laptop and they tell me that before they send it out there is a $100 charge to backup the laptop because it might come back wiped and there might also be a charge for any software update that might need to be done. I feel 100% taken advantage of as this was never explained when they sold the warranty. THIS IS TOTALLY A BAIT AND SWITCH SCHEME!!! And a very bad way to do business. I asked “so you want me to spend $100 on a 2 year old laptop that might be worth $150 in what world does that make sense “ his response was if you put it that way it doesn’t. EXACTLY!! That’s why I bought the warranty! I will not be doing business with them again. And then I called customer service and they hung up on me. Nice Best Buy. Think about changing your name to worst buy with your true motto of we will take advantage of you and empty your pockets!

Terrible customer service, especially store management. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing, while customers wait in long lines for subpar service. A reminder why brick and mortar stores are dying.
