I purchased a very expensive gaming computer (about $2800) and monitor for my son for Christmas 2024. I purchased the comprehensive geek squad (best buy) member protection plan that should allow for easy repairs and troubleshooting. The computer stopped finding the 60'' monitor about 1 month ago and I could not figure out why. Paid $110 for home visit and waited a week for the appointment. They were NO CALL NO SHOW and had someone at home waiting all day. Tried to call or email for clarity on the next step but NO response. I spent 3 hours dismantling the computer, driving 2 hours round trip to the store. They ran some tests and said it was working--showed me they got the screen connected. The guy there was great. and told me to call him if there were any more problems when I got home. Unfortunately, I got the computer home and SAME problem. Tried calling the store, NOPE can't call the store anymore just a plethora of corporate nonsense forcing you to make more online appointments and NEVER speak to a human being. Now, they are requesting that I dismantle the device again and come to the store. I want them to come fix it OR refund my money but prefer they just provide the services i paid for. Filing a complaint with the BBB, because every avenue of resource they provider are essentially useless.

You can't speak to to anyone in the store directly when you call on the phone. They never can help properly .When you decide to drive almost an hour and go to the store no one helps you with anything, even after asking and then paging the department you wind up waiting for around 30 mins. They don't honor manufactures coupons. All you hear in the parking lot is people complaining and the employees inside calling them Karens. It's probably the third visit that was like this and I'm not going back every again. So unfortunate. They are the last electrics store and used to be wonderful. Sounds like corporate changed everything and ruined it. Easiest things to fix, have the store actually answer phones again, have employees walk the floors again asking people if they need help. That's it.

Went to Best Buy in Middletown to replace the car stereo in my older vehicle and replace it with a new version with Apple CarPlay compatibility. The Auto tech was exetremely knowledgable and friendly. He was able to complete the service quickly, and ever recommended a better model of stereo to save me a few extra bucks. He was also able to install a backup camera to my vehicle even though I hadn’t originally scheduled for that. Highly recommend Best Buy in Middletown for car electronics needs.
