Beware of hidden and unnecessary fees. I went in to buy a laptop and the store kept pushing add-ons and extra services, even after I made it very clear that I did not want to pay for anything beyond the laptop itself. Because the model wasn’t available in-store, they said they could have it delivered to my home or I could pick it up. They offered home delivery but never mentioned that it came with an additional fee. Delivery was offered as faster than pick up and I knew that I would be traveling soon so I opted for delivery. When I saw the delivery charge on my order, I went back to the store within an hour. I was told they couldn’t cancel or adjust the order “due to its status” and that I should call later. When I did, I was then told I had missed a 30-minute window to make chances, something no one informed me of, and that I could no longer cancel the order or change the delivery. Overall, it felt like they kept trying to slip in extra fees at every step. Very disappointing and not transparent at all.
