Bought a tablet online that was open box and supposedly in excellent condition per item description. Drove half an hour to the store to pick up the item and the item was completely beat up and was the floor model. Scratches on the screen and on the casing. Staff was friendly and apologetic. Beware of open box items as the condition may not be labeled correctly check items condition before leaving the store.

I purchased a CyberChill Slushy Machine from Best Buy on June 27, 2025 as a gift for my boyfriend from my kids. It arrived on June 30, 2025, and when I finally opened it on July 19, 2025 to test it before his birthday, it was completely defective. The machine kept the drink cold but never turned anything into slush. I even let it run overnight, and by the next morning the machine was frozen solid with icicles, but the drink was still watery.
When I contacted Best Buy, I was told their return policy is only 15 days and had expired on July 15, 2025—before I even had the chance to use it! A representative told me to bring it into the store anyway, reassuring me there would be no issue exchanging it. I showed up, only to be turned away. It was embarrassing, frustrating, and a complete waste of my time.
This was supposed to be a fun birthday surprise, and instead, I’m stuck with a useless $ machine and no help from Best Buy. Their customer service gave me false information and no real solution.
Save yourself the money and the headache—Best Buy does NOT stand by the products they sell, and they will leave you hanging if something is defective. I will never purchase from Best Buy again.Sam’s Club has it for better price and they go above and beyond for their customers.
