Made an appointment for an iPhone battery replacement with geek squad more than 24 hours in advance using apple’s support portal. There was only one appointment. Got a phone call but no vm 90 minutes before my appointment. Tried to call back and was routed to offshore call center who couldn’t contact store. They had no info. They asked store to call me. They did not. Showed up for my appointment only to be told there was no part in stock and they would have to reschedule or keep my phone for days. What’s the point of a reservation if they’re not prepared? Why couldn’t someone leave a message and tell me the situation so I didn’t waste a trip? Why couldn’t I get an automated appointment cancellation? Why not an email? I’m sure the staff would blame the reservation system, but what’s the point of all the tech and “convenience” if none of it works. Fail, fail, fail. Customer service really is dead.

Geek Squad was finally successful the second trip. The first guy thought my device was defective, but it seemed to be sporadically working. Jesse, the second young man totally solved the problem after he had to investigate just HOW to activate my device. Yay! Much appreciated‼️I did NOT have to ship my item back. It WAS okay and is now working. YAY‼️Thanks Jesse‼️👍😁
