Don't get your dashcam installed here. I had a 12:30pm appointment, showed up around 12:15pm to dropoff my vehicle. I was told it would take around 2 hours, no problem. Grabbed lunch, and around 2pm I thought I'd check in for progress, just to be told my vehicle hasn't been touched yet. Why? Well, another vehicle was running over time, cool, no problem there. The problem is that they could have told me that at 1pm.
Then they also told me that the dashcam install could take much longer as with newer vehicles they have to look up the diagrams and bla bla bla. Again, this should've been done prior to me arriving at my appointment. I scheduled that at the end of last week.
Terrible communication. I told them I'd be back at 2:30pm to check if work on my vehicle has begun yet, but ultimately it's very unprofessional to not inform a customer of a delay and essentially make me waste 2 hours of my day as I could've just came in at 2:30pm. You've been warned. If you decide to go there, ask for specifics and make sure you hear directly from them whether they'll honor the time they (BestBuy) gave you. I definitely won't be back to this location.
I'd give this location 0 stars if I could. I know it's not reflective of all the services offered at BestBuy, but this blatant level of unprofessionalism warrants this rating.

I purchased some cameras and the guy who was going to install was trying to show up 3 hours late to my scheduled appointment. I tried to reschedule it took 3 days and multiple phone calls and emails to get a new date. When I finally got an appointment a week later the guy who was suppose to install them called to ask if I had certain things to be able to install them. I told him I’m not sure what you need but you can check if I have what you need on the day off and he responded “I don’t get payed for that”. I payed an installation fee and he said “if you want to get them installed properly you need to hire your own electrician”. Um what? Then I tried to cancel the whole transaction because I was over it should not be this hard schedule and install cameras, I had to go thru multiple calls and an email to get that cancelled as well. Also I was told this was going to be escalated and was going to receive a call since the installer shouldn’t have said to me hire my own electrician, never got a call.

Georgetown Best Buy is literally "the Best". Such great experiences with both my recent purchases. The General Manager is so knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Michael, who set up my new phone, even missed his lunch break to help me and Noah was so helpful with my purchases. Geek Squad is also great. Highly recommend doing business with the Georgetown Best Buy.
