This location tells everyone when they receive Pokémon card shipments, which is Friday night. Therefore, every Saturday morning, there is a line waiting outside for at least 2 hours before doors open. It’s like Black Friday every week for Pokemon cards. And if you are a casual card collector, you have little to no chance because every card scalper in the area is going to this location with probably friends and family members so that they can abuse the 2 pack or 2 ETB per customer per SKU rule. Something needs to be done about this. For example - stop announcing when cards are going to be in stock and change up the shipment days that way at least everyone has equal opportunity for getting cards. My kids and I have yet to get a single card pack or ETB because people who card scalp and turn around and resell have ruined what should be a fun card collection. And the retailers including Best Buy do not care because their stores do not make any adjustments to stop the issue. Although I can’t prove it, I guarantee that employees at this location are being paid under the table by the scalpers to hold product or to notify them of when product will be arriving. Fix this please so that people can just enjoy something rather than appeasing to scalpers who refuse to get a real job.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience was extremely frustrating. I purchased a MacBook Air from the Hoover, Alabama Best Buy location and was informed that it would be shipped to my home. The laptop never arrived. Over the course of multiple phone calls and store visits, I received conflicting explanations, including that the package was delayed, lost, possibly stolen, and later that a delivery attempt had been made requiring a signature. No delivery attempt was made, and no signature was requested. What was particularly concerning was that during my conversations with Best Buy representatives, I was informed that they had been experiencing ongoing issues with shipments handled by FedEx and that similar incidents had occurred previously. When I asked why Best Buy continued to use the same shipping service despite these reported issues, I did not receive a clear answer. After more than a week of trying to resolve the issue, Best Buy finally agreed to issue a refund. However, I was then informed that the refund process could take several additional business days to be processed and even longer before the credit would appear on my account. This left nearly $2,000 of my available credit unavailable while I am in the middle of relocating from One State to another. The most disappointing part was not the lost package itself, but the lack of clear communication, the conflicting information provided, and the amount of time and effort required to obtain a resolution. I hope Best Buy improves its shipping accountability and customer service processes so other customers do not experience the same situation.
