Been going to Best Buy for 20 years (appliances, TVs, electronics, games, etc.) will never shop there again. Return policy is horrible, much better off buying online or from Costo. Bought a piece of camera equipment that broke after two uses but since it was outside of the return policy (I tried to return after 21 days) they refused to help, no return, no store credit, no exchange. Will be advising all of my family and friends to stay away. Hope it was worth it to them over a $60 store credit.

My friend arrived early to wait for the Pokémon release at Best Buy. When he got there around 7AM, there was no actual line of people…just empty chairs set up outside. A Best Buy employee who came out told him he was first in line because unattended chairs did not count as holding a spot. Based on that, he remained at the front and waited there until the store opened. Several individuals who had left those empty chairs returned and claimed he had “cut the line.” There were some disputes back and forth outside. When the doors opened, they began yelling at a female employee, insisting that my friend should not be allowed to purchase anything. Multiple people were raising their voices at her, creating a tense situation. My friend remained calm and respectfully explained that he did not cut the line. Unfortunately, that employee from earlier was nowhere to be found at the time. The female employee told my friend to just go back to the end of the line and that there’s more than enough products for everyone (not true). Not wanting to escalate the situation or create further difficulty for the employee being confronted, my friend chose not to argue and walked out. It was disappointing to see the situation handled in a way that appeared to reward the individuals who were yelling just to dissolve the situation. Unattended chairs as placeholders should not be tolerated.

I've been a loyal customer at Best Buy in Patchogue for years. I've purchased many items and their prices are reasonable. They have a huge selection of brands- name electronics, computers, and appliances. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And the Geek Squad Services is helpful and efficient Highly recommend
