My husband and I recently moved from Nassau to Suffolk, and because of the move, we had to purchase several new electronics. We have worked with Best Buy in the past and have never encountered such a disappointing and disrespectful experience.
First, we waited online for about 20 minutes before anyone knew how to help us. All we needed was to return a TV (it was not gaming quality) and pick up a new one. My husband had already completed the return online and had all the required codes ready.
Unfortunately, no one there seemed to know how to process a return. After a long wait, a very kind and friendly employee named Brian helped us. He was extremely helpful and knew exactly what to do. Since no one else knew how to complete the transaction, Brian even tried to show his coworkers how to do it for future reference.
While everything was going smoothly, a woman named Tavia approached and began yelling at Brian, saying there was no time for training. Brian continued helping us, but in the middle of the transaction, he was suddenly pulled away without any explanation to us or to another employee. Tavia told him to stop helping us and go to the sales floor because they were “too busy” for him to assist with a TV return.
Tavia then instructed Duthy to finish our transaction. Duthy explained that he didn’t know what needed to be done and asked if Brian could finish or at least explain what was left. Tavia responded by telling him to “pretend like he started the transaction and finish it.”
We ended up being there for over an hour for what should have been a simple return. We felt completely disrespected. Other employees kept coming in, and we were constantly skipped because we were there for a return instead of a pickup.
Tavia was not only disrespectful to the employees but also to us as customers. We will definitely not be returning to this location. We would rather drive all the way back to Nassau to deal with much kinder and more professional staff.
The only positive part of this experience was Brian, who clearly knew how to do his job, and Duthy, who was put in an uncomfortable situation and tried his best to help.

Worst shopping experience of my life and that's saying a lot! Purchased an item online. BB never shipped it. Had to file a complaint with my credit card company and open a BBB complaint. Unbelievable! Never again!!
